The Unbearable Lightness of Helium

Been a few days, thought I'd update the ol' blog, don'cha know!

'So what you been a'doin' matey-boy?' I hear you all cry, my blog being popular and all, and the old civil service answer is: as little as possible.

I gave this answer to Frankie Boyle at the Princess Royal last week, as a feed line without trying to be funny and he just looked at me & said "Being a comedian's not so f***ing easy, is it?"

I thought "Ooh! get her!" but I left it at that.
(Later when he left the theatre I kicked the sh*t outta him! F***ing Glaswegian ginga speccy freak!)

I hate work. Nuff said really.

So what you been up to then?

As we speak I am applying final touches to my entry in the final of the ActSwansea Play Offs on Dec 3rd. at the Dylan Thomas Centre. This is the contest that Dave Melkevik won last year and I'd really like to win it simply because the cast deserve some notice. And yeah, ego plays a part, but when this won it's heat what I thought about most was not "what a great play!" but more "what a great cast!"

One actor was so hyped up by the performance that she said to me later in the dressing room (before we'd won) "I hope I get to do that play again!" and I was just so freaked out that it had had that affect on someone.

So come along if you wanna see it. It's a work of pure guinness!
